I'm a bit late posting this but over Memorial Day weekend we hiked Spruce Creek Trail. There was still a LOT of snow on the trail and we only made it to the lowest lake, Mayflower lake, before we had to turn back because there was too much snow. There were also a lot of unprepared people on the trail, but I supposed you'll run into that on a busy holiday weekend. However everybody looked to be having a good time, so no harm, no foul I guess.
